Lincolnshire-based artists the Rye Sisters (Ishani Siriwardena and Sue Pomeroy) are an Americana and folk-country duo who sing in close harmony alongside guitar and fiddle. Playing a mix of upbeat, warm-hearted numbers and haunting ballads. They pull from broadly American influences, including the likes of James Taylor, Buddy and Julie Miller, The Civil Wars and The Chicks and also perform original songs including ‘song-for-Lincolnshire’ winner ‘White Mercury’.
In December 2023 they released their latest album ‘Distant Light’ remarked upon by FATEA records as a “terrific discovery” and by Americana UK as “full of intrigue and satire, heartache and resilience”.
While they are loved for their story-telling, catchy originals and empowering workshops, their truest calling is the pursuit and mastery of the perfect vocal blend.
